In Tawau, Sabah, five women, including a mother and daughter, were arrested for assaulting a single mother accused of having an affair with one of the suspects’ husband. The attack occurred in a hotel car park, where the victim discovered her car’s tyres punctured before being assaulted. She sustained injuries to her face and head and reported missing jewelry worth RM4,000. The suspects accused her of being a homewrecker. Police are investigating under Sections 148 and 427 of the Penal Code for rioting with a weapon and mischief.
