The Malaysia Royal Police (PDRM) are tracking down three foreign individuals after a viral video showed them allegedly spreading ‘Christianity’ in front of a market in Desa Setapak, Kuala Lumpur.

Wangsa Maju District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Lazim Ismail, confirmed a police report was filed on December 30. The case is under investigation, but social media users pointed out that the individuals might be Mormons, not Christians. 

Mormons, part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, have distinct beliefs separate from mainstream Christianity. Mormonism has over 16 million members worldwide.
