Zamri Vinoth Denies Fleeing, Rejects Incitement Allegations

KUALA LUMPUR — Zamri Vinoth has denied fleeing the country amid investigations into remarks allegedly inciting violence. In a Facebook post on Saturday (March 14), he stated he had no reason to run and was prepared to meet Inspector-General of Police Mohd Khalid Ismail if required.

Zamri questioned why he was being blamed for recent attacks and arson incidents, insisting he did not incite violence. Authorities are working with Thai counterparts to locate him. The Attorney General’s Chambers has instructed that Zamri be charged under Section 505(b) of the Penal Code for statements conducing to public mischief.
