A 23-year-old woman, Jermaine Lim, was sentenced on May 8, 2026, to four months’ jail and fined S$1,000 after pleading guilty to possessing a live round without a licence. Another charge for 3D-printing a gun was taken into consideration. Lim was arrested in December 2024 during a drug raid, where police seized a 5.56mm round and 3D-printed firearm parts.

Investigations revealed she bought the round for S$20 from Javier Tan, who was jailed in 2025 for abetting her. Forensic reports confirmed the 3D-printed gun was incomplete and non-functional. The case highlights growing concerns over illegal ammunition possession.
