A viral video shows a vehicle driving against the flow of traffic at KM10.8 of the Damansara–Shah Alam Elevated Expressway (DASH) in Petaling Jaya on Monday, May 18.
No Injuries After 80‑Year‑Old Drives on The Wrong Way
Police said an elderly woman in her 80s mistakenly entered the carriageway while searching for an exit. Fortunately no collisions occurred. The driver has been detained and faces investigation under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless and dangerous driving.
The Royal Malaysia Police urged road users to obey traffic laws and asked witnesses to contact Inspector Jayseelan at 018‑2582531 or Petaling Jaya District Police at 03‑79662222 to assist inquiries.
