Opposition leaders have urged Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to address the alleged leak of Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC) meeting minutes, warning that failure to clarify claims of judicial interference could cost him his job. PAS information chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari said the allegations, if true, undermine integrity and constitutional supremacy, and Anwar should resign. Bersatu’s Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz added that if the leaked document is authentic, it represents a “cancerous cell” eroding public trust in an impartial judiciary. The leak allegedly reveals judicial interference during appointments after Chief Justice Tengku Maimun’s retirement, prompting calls for a royal commission inquiry.
