Azam Baki has been reappointed as Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for a one-year term, effective May 13, 2025, to May 12, 2026. The reappointment, approved by His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, was announced by Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar. Under Subsections 5(1) and 5(2) of the MACC Act 2009, Azam’s extensive experience, commitment, and achievements in leading the MACC were cited as the basis for his continued leadership.
