NILAI – Malaysia’s cycling star Datuk Azizulhasni Awang captured the keirin title at the UCI Track World Cup 2026 held at the National Velodrome in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan on Saturday night.

The 38-year-old, known as the “Pocket Rocketman,” outpaced reigning world champion Harrie Lavreysen of the Netherlands, who finished second, while Trinidad & Tobago’s Nicolas Paul secured third place. The victory marks Azizul’s second gold medal in the keirin event this season, following his triumph in the opening round in Perth, Australia last month. Azizul will next team up with Mohd Shah Firdaus Sahrom in the sprint event on Sunday.
