Hopes for a double victory at the Korea Open were dashed as Malaysia’s women’s doubles pair, Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan, fell short in the final today. After the mixed doubles duo Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei secured the Super 500 title, Pearly and Thinaah were unable to maintain the momentum. The world number nine pair lost to South Korea’s Jeong Na Eun and Kim Hye Jeong in straight sets, 21-12, 21-11, missing out on their first title of the season. Despite a balanced start, the Korean pair surged ahead, securing a decisive win.
