PETALING JAYA, July 19, 2026 – Pakatan Harapan (PH) Youth has demanded that all Barisan Nasional (BN) ministers and deputy ministers resign from the Cabinet following BN’s cooperation with Perikatan Nasional (PN) in the Johor and Negeri Sembilan state elections.

In a joint statement, PH Youth leaders said BN chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s remarks describing the BN‑PN pact in Negeri Sembilan as a “test case” for the next general election showed BN was preparing for a new political alignment. They accused BN of a “two‑faced” approach, stressing that resignations would clarify BN’s direction and prevent instability in the unity government.
BN currently holds 14 ministerial and deputy ministerial posts, mostly from Umno, with one from PBRS. PH is contesting all 36 Negeri Sembilan seats, while BN and PN share 25 and 11 respectively.
