Four more bodies were recovered today following the capsizing of a boat carrying Indonesian migrants off Pulau Pangkor, raising the death toll to 16. Perak MMEA director Maritime Captain Mohamad Shukri Khotob said three male victims were found 2.5 nautical miles southwest of Pulau Buloh.

Another unidentified body was discovered 21.4 nautical miles southwest of Pulau Sangga Kechil. A total of 23 survivors have been rescued, bringing the number involved to 39. The search and rescue operation will continue tomorrow, marking its seventh day, with authorities considering ending efforts if no further victims are found.
