On April 1, 2025, a gas pipeline fire broke out at Jalan Putra Harmoni, Putra Heights, Subang Jaya, Selangor, during the day. Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said they would investigate claims that digging on Petronas reserve land caused the blaze. The Fire and Rescue Department and Petronas planned inspections for the next day to find the exact cause, while efforts that day focused on extinguishing the fire and aiding victims. By evening, the Fire and Rescue Department’s Director-general Datuk Nor Hisham Mohammad reported no gas flow after shutting four main valves, reducing the chance of another explosion.
