PETALING JAYA: Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin Rumsani have claimed the world No. 1 men’s doubles ranking, nearly a year after reuniting. The Malaysian pair kicked off their top-ranked status with a commanding 21-13, 21-11 victory over Taiwan’s Lee Fang-chih and Lee Fang-jen in the Singapore Open’s opening round on May 28. Mastering the tricky drift at Singapore Indoor Stadium, they advanced to face compatriots Wan Arif Wan Junaidi and Yap Roy King. After overcoming a 2023 split, their US Open win and six additional titles, including the Indian Open, highlight their unstoppable momentum.
