KUALA LUMPUR, June 7 — Senior Bersatu leaders believe PAS should leave Perikatan Nasional (PN) immediately to allow swift state election preparations. This follows PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang’s statement that the party would decide on cooperation with Bersatu. A Bersatu source alleged PAS repeatedly pursued ties with UMNO and revived MN2.0 without coalition consultation, adding grassroots felt betrayed.
PAS Exiting PN
The source criticized PN chairman Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar for failing to act independently or convene meetings ahead of Johor and Negeri Sembilan polls. PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man dismissed the claims, saying: “All of these views are untrue.”
