“I’m sorry boss, my stomach hurts very badly now, I can’t go to work,” says one of the messages of a Malaysian employee to her boss. The boss posted on Facebook to complain that he is having a ton of problems handling workers who are always on leave.
He says the workers will cite various issues such as headaches, stomach pains, sister visiting, mother falling ill, fainting, pimple pains and itchy hair as reasons for her absences at work. Lucky they did not mention ‘grandmother’ passed away, which is a very common reason given by workers who want to go on leave.
Queried by the boss for her frequent absence, the employee, a woman, finally said: “Sorry boss, I won’t continue working here. The job’s too tiring and pays too little.”
