Finance minister Tengku Zafrul Aziz says the government will give special priority to job creation and income recovery in the 2022 Budget.

He says strengthening social protection through focused assistance is necessary for an effort to build socio-economic resilience.

At a virtual session of the 2022 Budget consultation, he highlighted the government’s focus on structural reforms, including closer collaboration with civil society organisations as the government’s delivery partner to achieve goals outlined in the national recovery plan and next year’s budget.
