Police in Johor Baru dismantled a drug syndicate with the arrest of five suspects, including a local man and four foreigners, in a series of raids. The syndicate, active since December, processed drugs in a luxury apartment and traveled in a RM500,000 Maserati GranTurismo. Raids yielded 3kg of heroin, 1.06kg of cannabis, and other drugs worth RM97,707. Police also seized vehicles, including the Maserati, and cash, totaling RM524,227 in value. The suspects, aged 30-40, tested positive for drugs, with some having prior criminal records. They are being held under the Dangerous Drugs Act and Immigration Act for further investigation.
