EPF credited a RM708 million Government Incentive to 1.4 million members aged 40 to below 55 with savings below RM10,000 in Account 1 as of February 24, 2023. It seems that this is garnering a mixed reaction among X users as they can’t physically withdraw the money.

Several X users state that they would actually want to take out their retirement funds earlier. They question politely why the government put extra money in these accounts. However, the main point of these accounts is for the holder to have a cushy retirement in the future.
