IPOH, July 2 – Determined not to let his six children be neglected, Muhammad Amir Zulkarnain Abdullah, 49, works tirelessly collecting scrap items and taking part‑time jobs at a chicken processing factory to support his family. His struggles deepened when two of his children developed chronic health conditions.

The eldest, 20, suffers from severe constipation since childhood and requires daily disposable diapers, while the second, 19, has heart disease and scoliosis, needing daily medication and biannual check‑ups at the National Heart Institute (IJN). Despite hardships, Amir continues to persevere, ensuring his children receive care and treatment.
