Malaysians Complain Claiming US Deal is “Unbalanced”

There are heavy debates regarding the newly signed US deal with Malaysia, “The Reciprocal Trade Agreement.” There are even comparisons made between TPPA and this new agreement. But, Malaysians appear to say that this deal is unfair to us, as it seems that the winner of this deal is both President Trump and the United States. 

Malaysians Complain saying US Deal “Unbalanced” 

An X user says that during the Financial Crisis of 1998, our country, under the stewardship of Tun Dr Mahathir, refused to borrow from the IMF. We decided to weather out the crisis and we did. The Deputy MITI Minister claims that this deal was “forced” by the United States, which in turn caused more controversial thoughts rather than simple answers. 

Others are disappointed in the tariff rates our nation received, citing that other nations that did not sign such a deal are also in the 19% tariff category. Many expected that the tariffs were to be reduced by Trump after the deal was signed.
