A former senior military officer, was fined RM6,000 and ordered to serve five months in prison if he fails to pay the fine, after pleading guilty to luring a married woman into having intimate relations six years ago.
He was charged with criminal intent to entice a married woman to have intercourse. The offense was allegedly committed at a place in Bandar Putra Permai, Seri Kembangan, in early 2016.
The court was presented with the marriage certificate and divorce certificate of the woman and her husband as exhibits. Azmi had just obtained a job as a security officer with a salary of RM4,500.
