Co‑leader Rafizi Ramli emphasized that while youth and gender inclusion are priorities, merit and qualifications remain central.

Candidates must undergo a three‑phase assessment and interview process to ensure capability. Rafizi outlined a 70/30 balance, reserving 30% of slots for experienced candidates aged 50 and above. Contesting independently, Bersama plans to field qualified Malay, Chinese, and Indian candidates tailored to local demographics, reinforcing inclusivity without compromising standards.
