SEREMBAN, Aug 7, 2026 — Negeri Sembilan PAS commissioner Mohd Fairuz Isa is poised to become the first assemblyman from the party appointed to the state executive council. The two-term Serting assemblyman, who won his seat with a 12,115-vote majority in the Aug 1 state election, is expected to be sworn in before Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir at Istana Besar Seri Menanti on Friday.
Negeri Sembilan Exco
Parti Wawasan Negara’s Datuk Razali Abu Samah, who captured the Sikamat seat under the Perikatan Nasional banner with a 4,413-vote majority, is also likely to join the exco — marking another first for the party.
The remaining eight exco positions are expected to be filled by Barisan Nasional assemblymen, with Labu’s Siti Nurumaira Hasim tipped to be the sole female member. Mentri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim is expected to retain Datuk Mustapha Nagoor and Datuk Mohd Faizal Ramli from the previous line-up.
