TANAH MERAH – Police are searching for five men, including a Thai national, believed to be involved in a shooting at a palm oil plantation in Kemahang early Tuesday. District police chief Superintendent Mohd. Haki Hasbullah said the incident occurred around 2.30 a.m. when a group of men opened fire at close range on locals patrolling the area to prevent cattle theft.

One victim, Mohd. Khairul Amri Ab. Kadir, 43, sustained injuries to his chin. The suspects fled the scene, and police are intensifying efforts to track them down. The case remains under active investigation.
