A viral video shows that a middle aged woman, dubbed as “PRC aunty” is seen scolding her neighbors for the loud noises caused by the fireworks. However, Malaysians banded together and state that this is Malaysia, and we celebrate by having fireworks shoot up in the sky.
“PRC Aunty” slammed by Malaysians
An X user states that the aunty needs to get used to how things are done in Malaysia. He states that living in a mixed neighborhood, he enjoys the joy and festivities of all the races during their respective festive seasons.
Others state that it is fine for people to light up their fireworks during their festive seasons. However, it should not exceed after 1am. The user adds that others can’t complain as they would do the same exact thing for their respective holidays.
