DAP strongman Tony Pua has urged for the dissolution of the Madani coalition, arguing UMNO’s decision to contest all 56 Johor state seats exposes its treachery. He said Harapan’s reliance on UMNO for stability after GE15 was a sacrifice, but continuing the alliance with a party that still venerates Najib Razak is untenable.

Pua stressed that UMNO’s assurances about federal ties cannot be trusted, and Harapan should set a timeline to end the coalition. He insisted it is better to risk losing GE16 with dignity than suffer betrayal, echoing the Malay proverb “Biar putih tulang, jangan putih di mata.”
