Newly appointed Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar has pledged that PAS will adopt clear strategies to engage Malaysia’s diverse communities. Speaking on PKR MP Nik Nazmi’s podcast Lebih Masa, Samsuri emphasized the need for reflection and broader outreach beyond rural constituencies, including Sabah and Sarawak.

He acknowledged PAS’s traditional reliance on Malay-Muslim support but stressed inclusivity as vital for nation-building. Samsuri also highlighted weaknesses within PN, citing pressures faced by opposition MPs, and called for fairer political competition. He argued Malaysia’s politics must move away from zero-sum dynamics and centralized power, envisioning PN as a credible alternative.
