Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Openg announced that 13 of 29 key constitutional matters under the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) have been resolved ahead of Malaysia Day.

Delivered by Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, his remarks highlighted progress in administrative control over departments like Public Works, Drainage and Irrigation, education, and port authorities.
Sarawak has begun implementing educational autonomy, including bilingual assessments for Primary Six students. The Premier thanked the Federal Government and emphasized continued cooperation to resolve the remaining 16 issues. He urged Sarawakians to stay united and support the state’s development goals.
