The deteriorating Ringgit has sparked a lot of talks among Malaysians. The Singapore dollar is seemingly stronger than a lot of currencies as well. They have better value over the Australian dollar at this point. However, Malaysians are feeling the brunt of having a lower value currency.
Singapore Dollar new all time high against Ringgit
Several Malaysians are blaming those who are monopolizing the economy of the country. They state that this is happening simply because of that, and we would need to toughen up the next few years until the country’s corruption rates decline severely.
Regardless, there are two sides to the argument, some citing that it is better for Malaysia to have a weaker currency due to exports. However, others believe that a stronger currency may help us increase our standards of living.
