A 16-year-old foreign girl was discovered unconscious and covered in blood with neck injuries in a toilet at Kampung Tuntuluk, Penampang, on Thursday. District Police Chief Superintendent Sammy Newton said the incident was reported at 12.35pm, shortly after the victim was found at 12.30pm.

She is currently receiving treatment at Hospital Queen Elizabeth I, Kota Kinabalu. Police are searching for a man in his 30s to assist in investigations. Authorities urge the public to contact ASP Hairie Awang at 0168032849 with information and caution against spreading false or speculative details that could disrupt public order.
