The US Supreme Court has allowed President Donald Trump’s administration to resume immigration raids in Southern California, siding with federal agents despite concerns over racial profiling.

The unsigned order lifted a lower court’s ban on detentions without “reasonable suspicion,” enabling stops based on race, language, or accent. Liberal justices, led by Justice Sonia Sotomayor, warned Latinos were now “fair game to be seized at any time.”
California Governor Gavin Newsom condemned the ruling as state-targeted racial terror. Civil rights groups decried the decision, calling it a setback for immigrant protections, while Trump vowed to expand “roving patrols” across California.
