Temporary Airspace Shutdown at KLIA to Affect Flights Aug 26–31

Malaysia Airlines announced that flights will be retimed between August 26 and 31, 2025, due to a daily temporary airspace closure around KL International Airport (KLIA) from 8am to noon in conjunction with Malaysia’s 68th Merdeka celebration. 

Temporary Airspace Shutdown at KLIA to Affect Flights Aug 26–31

The revised schedule will affect both departures and arrivals at KLIA. Passengers are advised to arrive at least four hours before their rescheduled departure to complete check-in and document checks smoothly. 

While the airline has listed affected flights by date, it did not disclose the total number of services impacted. Travellers are also reminded to verify travel documents and entry requirements.
