KUALA LUMPUR: Political analyst Hisommudin Bakar warns that MITI Minister Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz risks sabotage from UMNO members if he contests in Selangor after resigning from UMNO to join PKR. Speaking on The Tiger Show Podcast, Hisommudin said Zafrul’s move is risky, as UMNO supporters may not vote for him, and PH alone might not secure enough votes. He emphasized that Zafrul’s choice of constituency for the 16th General Election is critical. Zafrul dismissed speculations of by-elections to become Selangor MB or retain his ministerial post. PKR has yet to receive his membership application.
