PUTRAJAYA – Datuk Wan Shaharuddin Wan Ladin, a leading prosecutor in several high-profile corruption cases, has been transferred from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to the Attorney-General’s Chambers (A-GC). Effective March 2, he will serve as deputy head II of the Trial and Appeal Division in a supernumerary post.
Top Prosecutor moved
Wan Shaharuddin was hand-picked for MACC in 2019 by then attorney-general Tan Sri Tommy Thomas. He has prosecuted major cases involving Lim Guan Eng, Syed Saddiq, Peter Anthony, and former prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin. His transfer comes ahead of Muhyiddin’s trial, scheduled to begin on March 9.
