ALOR GAJAH, July 2 – Barisan Nasional (BN) Melaka chairman Ab Rauf Yusoh has echoed BN deputy chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan’s remarks regarding DAP deputy chairman Nga Kor Ming’s expressed intention to resign.

Ab Rauf, who is also Melaka UMNO liaison chief, said the decision to step down is an individual’s right and cannot be blocked by any party. “If he wants to resign, let him. No one can stop him,” he told reporters after officiating the closing ceremony of the PRN Melaka 2026 public order simulation exercise in Tanjung Bidara. Media reports earlier quoted Mohamad challenging Nga to fulfill his pledge should BN win the Johor state election and Najib Razak be freed.
