The Malaysian Athletics Federation honored her legacy, describing her as a pioneer who opened doors for future generations of female athletes. Known for her speed and determination, Annie inspired many, including notable athletes like Datuk B Rajamani and Datuk Marina Chin. She also competed in the Asian Games in 1954 and 1958, solidifying her place in Malaysia’s athletic history.
