Malaysian Dies in Tuas Second Link Accident

1 min read

SINGAPORE – A 31‑year‑old man, identified as cross‑border commuter Sheng Baoyuan, died in a motorcycle accident on the Tuas Second Link bridge on June 22. The crash occurred around 9am as Sheng was riding into Singapore for his first day at a new job as a deliveryman. Heavy rain is believed to have caused his motorcycle to skid out of control.

Eyewitnesses told the family that Sheng fell off his bike and was struck by a lorry, dying at the scene. Dashcam footage showed two motorcycles lying on the road, while photos circulating online revealed his bike badly damaged. His family has appealed for more witnesses to come forward to clarify the circumstances of the fatal accident.
