The father of slain high school football player Austin Metcalf condemned what he called the “moral decay of society,” criticizing commentators, including The View’s Sunny Hostin, for allegedly misrepresenting facts about the case.

Karmelo Anthony, 19, was convicted of fatally stabbing Metcalf, 17, at a high school track meet and sentenced to 35 years in prison, though he is appealing. 

Anthony’s defense team argues the trial was unfair, citing racial bias concerns. Jeff Metcalf rejected such claims, accusing critics of spreading misinformation and politicizing his son’s death, insisting public debate should be based strictly on evidence presented in court.
