Batu Pahat council revokes license over Allah-printed socks controversy

This action, in accordance with specific small laws, follows the company’s violation of approved business license terms, primarily operating as a shoe store and distributor. The local authority issued a notice to the company, delivered by MPBP Chairman Ezahar Abu Sairin.

The factory, located in Sri Gading’s industrial area, ceased operations after a police raid uncovered socks with the word Allah. The incident prompted calls for apologies and led to the establishment of a State Joint Action Committee.
