Customer Lost RM46,000 At Bank Through Old Scam Method

1 min read

The wave of scams are at an all time high in Malaysia. A Bank Simpanan Nasional customer recently lost RM46,000 to a scammer. However, this didn’t happen digitally but involves the scammer wrecking the ATM machine and peeking at the customer’s pin number. The ATM card gets stuck and they will take the card out of the machine.

Scams are updating

Netizens are saying that these illicit methods are actually the old style. Furthermore, some of these methods can make them get caught easily. This is why most of these are done digitally. However, that too would need some technical skills in order for it to be performed successfully.

Others are advising the general public to not put more than RM10,000 in their general basic savings. It would be better to invest the money in EPF, Fixed Deposits or even Amanah Saham. Most are sad for the victim as the money would definitely not be returned in any way possible.
