DAP Youth (Dapsy) has called on Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to dissolve Parliament immediately if Umno chooses to contest solo in Johor, accusing the party of “backstabbing.” The wing cited Umno’s withdrawal of support for the Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar and its vow of “all‑out war” in Johor as examples of betrayal.

Dapsy stressed that PH’s cooperation after the 2023 state elections gave Umno a lifeline, including roles in Selangor, Pulau Pinang, Perak, and Pahang. “If there are parties intent on betraying unity, let the people decide clearly and definitively,” Dapsy said in its statement.
