KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 28 — PAS Central Information Chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari has claimed that Pakatan Harapan (PH) risks losing the next general election due to poor governance, rising living costs, and unfulfilled Reformasi promises. Speaking at a public talk, the Pasir Mas MP said, “The PH Government is already on its last legs. At any time, Insya-Allah, they will turn into the opposition.”

He criticized Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for rolling back equal constituency allocations to opposition MPs, noting that previous administrations under Tun Dr Mahathir, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, and Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri had provided allocations regardless of party affiliation. Fadhli suggested that recent calls by DAP leaders for equal funding indicate the coalition anticipates returning to opposition.
Highlighting rising prices of essentials such as chicken and eggs, he questioned government spending during public hardship and raised concerns over unaddressed “corporate mafia” investigations. He predicted PH component parties, particularly Amanah (PAN), would face severe rejection. “Especially PAN will become like a rag cloth after the upcoming General Election,” he said.
Fadhli’s remarks underscore PAS’s narrative that PH has failed to deliver on its Reformasi agenda, leaving voters disillusioned.
