The fresh charge follows a Federal Court ruling upholding the constitutionality of the terms “offensive” and “annoy” under Section 233(1)(a) of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998. Suhaila pleaded not guilty. The offence carries fines up to RM50,000 or one year’s jail. Judge Nor Hasniah Ab Razak set bail at RM7,000 with one surety, with mention fixed for July 17.
