Recently, a contract was given out valued at half a billion Ringgit to a firm in Malaysia. A netizen says that someone working minimum wage at RM1,500 will have to slug it out from as far back as Parameswara’s era. That amount of time still wouldn’t be enough to earn a minimum wage worker half a billion ringgit,
He further states that a hundred years ago, a billion was not a fathomable monetary value. Others say that they tried to calculate with their phones but even their iPhones can’t calculate anything more than 500 million.
The contract was allegedly directed towards the maintenance of a palace. Some say that the department that dished out the contract can’t fix the regular infrastructure issues in this country, yet resources and cash are directed elsewhere.
