On Wednesday, a guy known as a drug offender Ng Eng Kui, 64, carrying a knife was shot and killed by police officers in Singapore near Block 33 Bendemeer Road at around 4 p.m.
Police claimed that at around 4 p.m., he was wandering around the foot of the HDB building yelling and wielding a knife, emerging from a sixth-floor flat as authorities arrived on the scene. They urged him to put down his weapon, but he refused and moved closer to them.
The policemen retreated after firing three Taser bullets at Ng, but he continued to approach them. “As there was an imminent threat to the safety of the officers, one of the officers fired a shot from his pistol at the man, and the man fell to the ground,” said the police.
