Lorry Driver Claims Trial to Attempted Murder Charge Over Bangsar Shooting

A 27-year-old lorry driver pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court to attempting to murder a businessman during a shooting outside an entertainment centre in Bangsar last month. A. Lekeswaran was accused of trying to kill scrap metal business owner B. Yoga Sundram, 41, along Jalan Telawi at about 3.15am on April 22. 

Bangsar Shooting: Court Denies Bail to Lorry Driver Charged With Attempted Murder

Prosecutors objected to bail, citing the seriousness of the offence, the victim’s critical condition, and concerns the accused could flee or interfere with witnesses. The court was also told the accused may face firearms-related charges in Klang. Judge Mazuliana Abdul Rashid denied bail and fixed June 10 for mention.
