SHAH ALAM – Authorities are searching for a man after a viral video showed him brutally abusing a dog inside a rented house in Seri Kembangan. The 26-second clip captured the suspect slamming the animal against walls and floors, leaving the brown male poodle limping from suspected leg injuries.

The Selangor Veterinary Services Department (JPV) confirmed receiving a public complaint and inspected the dog yesterday. Investigations are ongoing under Section 29(1)(a) of the Animal Welfare Act 2015, which carries penalties of up to three years’ imprisonment or fines between RM20,000 and RM100,000. Efforts to track the suspect continue.
