Police in Shah Alam are hunting a man accused of confining, abusing, and sodomising a 14-year-old boy in a Bukit Kemuning apartment on May 13. District police chief Assistant Commissioner Ramsay Embol confirmed the suspect has a criminal record, having been jailed in 2008 for rape, confinement, and robbery of a woman 18 years ago.

The latest incident was reported at noon after neighbours rescued the boy, who had been locked up for three hours. Initial investigations revealed the suspect lured the victim with promises of a mobile internet package. CCTV footage showed them walking together earlier that morning.
