Plaintiffs in the RM30 million civil suit against businessman Vinod Sekhar and his wife Winny Yeap have submitted over 400 pieces of documentary evidence contradicting Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s denial of ties to the tycoon. Filed on May 4 through Messrs Goh Wong Pereira, the documents respond to Anwar’s bid to strike out a subpoena compelling him to testify.

Evidence includes social media posts and photographs, notably a 2021 Facebook post where Anwar referred to Vinod as his “good friend” after attending his mother’s funeral. Plaintiffs allege Vinod leveraged links with influential figures to attract investors.
