JOHOR BARU, June 8 – Police have arrested a 37‑year‑old foreign woman after her two children fell from the 12th floor of an apartment in Tampoi, leaving one dead and the other seriously injured. Johor police chief Comm Datuk Ab Rahaman Arsad said the incident was reported at 8.27am on June 7. The children are aged eight and 10.
Children Fall
One child died at the scene, while the other, is receiving hospital treatment. The mother was arrested at noon the same day. Checks revealed she had no criminal record and tested negative for drugs. Police obtained a four‑day remand order until June 11 to investigate under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001.
